Membership: Brownies

We are in over 30 countries around the world! We follow the Girlguiding UK programme called the Brownie Adventure. We have fun, meet in safe and creative environments, make friends and learn positive values for life. All Units have a minimum of 2 adults working with the girls.

Brownies

Who can be a Brownie?
Brownies are usually aged between seven and ten, although some Brownies stay in the unit until they are a little bit older. Any girl over the age of seven can become a Brownie as long as she is able to understand, and wants to make, the Brownie Guide Promise.

What do Brownies do?
Brownies have fun! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best. Their meetings are action-packed and full of challenges, games and activities. The Pow- wow is an important aspect of a Brownie meeting and allows the girls the freedom to choose together their adventures. Everything a Brownie does is an adventure - it's a world of excitement, new interests and friends.
A Brownie pack usually has between 12 and 24 girls. The girls work together in small groups called Sixes. This gives each girl a group of ready-made friends to take care of her. It also makes her feel that she belongs to something special.
